Privacy Policy

The short version

• You can read everything on this website without giving us any information about yourself.
• We only receive personal information when you choose to contact us.
• We ask for as little as we can, and we never ask for medical history, diagnosis reports, identity-card numbers or your home address through this website.
• We use what you send us to reply to you. We do not sell it, and we do not add you to a marketing list.
• This website sets no advertising or tracking cookies.

Who we are

This website is run by True Dream Coaching and Consultancy (SSM registration no. 202503275714 (003783103-D)), a sole proprietorship providing dyslexia intervention and learning support in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean True Dream.

What we collect, and when

When you contact us, we receive what you choose to send:

• Through the enquiry form, when it is available: your name, an email address and/or phone number, how you prefer us to reply, your child's age band and the general topic of your concern if you choose to give them, your message, and a record that you agreed to us using these details to reply — with the wording you agreed to and the time.
• By WhatsApp or email: whatever you include in your message, along with your phone number or email address.

When you simply browse, our hosting provider automatically keeps standard technical logs — such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested — to run the website securely and keep it available. We do not use these logs to identify you.

To protect the enquiry form from automated abuse, your IP address is also checked briefly when you submit it, to stop a flood of submissions. It is not saved as part of your enquiry.

What we deliberately do not collect here

A public website form is the wrong place for sensitive information about a child. This website does not ask for, and we ask you not to send through it:

• Medical history, health information or diagnosis reports
• Identity-card (MyKad) or passport numbers
• Your home address
• School reports or assessment results

If any of this becomes relevant once we are working together, we will explain how to share it securely.

How we use your information

• To reply to your enquiry and answer your questions.
• If you go on to register your child, to continue that conversation — at which point the True Dream app's privacy policy also applies.
• To keep the website secure and working.

We do not use your information for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

What this website stores in your browser

This website sets no advertising, analytics or tracking cookies.

It stores one small note in your browser's local storage: whether you have dismissed the announcement bar at the top of the page, so it does not reappear on every page. It contains nothing about who you are, and you can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Services run by others

Some things on this website are provided by other companies, whose own privacy policies apply:

• YouTube videos. Videos are shown as a still image first. YouTube's player is only loaded if you press play, and it uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode, which means YouTube does not set cookies until you choose to watch. Short videos open on YouTube itself.
• WhatsApp and email. If you contact us this way, the message is carried by WhatsApp (Meta) or your email provider.
• Enquiry delivery. An enquiry sent through the form is passed directly to the True Dream app.
• Links to our social media accounts and to other organisations. Once you follow a link off this website, that site's own policy applies.
• The True Dream app (for registration and signing in) and Lumora are separate services with their own privacy policies.

The website's fonts are stored on our own website, so browsing it does not send a request to Google Fonts.

Children's information

This website is written for parents, carers and educators. It is not designed for children to submit information, and we ask that enquiries come from a parent or carer.

The only information about a child we invite through this website is an age band and a general topic, both optional.

Photographs

We do not publish a photograph in which a child can be identified without documented permission from their parent or guardian. We do not publish anyone's photograph, name or organisation without their permission.

If you have given permission and change your mind, contact us and we will remove the photograph from this website.

Where your information is kept, and for how long

This website does not keep enquiries itself. When the enquiry form is available, a submitted enquiry is passed directly to the True Dream app, where we manage enquiries. Messages sent by WhatsApp or email stay in those services.

We keep enquiry information only for as long as we need it to respond to you and, if you become a client, for as long as that relationship requires. After that, we delete it or keep it only where the law requires us to.

Our website hosting provider may store technical logs on servers outside Malaysia. Where information is handled outside Malaysia, we take steps to see that it is protected to a standard consistent with Malaysian law.

Your rights

Under Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you can ask us:

• Whether we hold personal information about you, and for a copy of it.
• To correct information that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date.
• To stop using your information, or to withdraw a consent you have given.
• Any question about how we handle your information.

Send your request to info@truedream.com.my. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on it, and we will reply within the time the law allows.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information, including using an encrypted connection for the whole website and collecting as little as possible in the first place. No system is completely secure, so please do not send sensitive information through the website.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
